Filmcity Media Ltd. was incorporated on 22nd April 1994. It was the result of a dream of its Promoter, Mr. Surendra Gupta who started his career with one magazine and then went on to build a well known Publishing House. He has to his credit publishing as well as distribution of two very popular and leading Film Weeklies namely FILMCITY and AAR PAAR.

Over the years Electronic Media was gaining prominence and thus with a view to exploit this opportunity, expand its operations and letting public get a pie of this high growth and high return industry, the Company came out with the Public Issue of Rs.5.00crore in December 1995.
